Carolyn Sue Smith

Carolyn Sue Smith of Montgomery, TX was born in Houston, TX on December 21, 1941, to Dewey Robert and Mildred Beatrice (Cheatham) and passed away in Conroe, TX on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the age of 80 to be with the Lord in her heavenly home. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord, her family, church, and community.

Carolyn grew up in the Houston area and finished high school at Galena Park High School. She was on the dance team and was an accomplished baton twirler. She spent many years working in accounting and benefits departments in Houston before retiring to spend time with family. Carolyn spent her life donating her time and money to children’s programs. She loved reading about celebrities, attending church, visiting with friends, shopping and going out to eat. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family. She was generous, caring, and dependable. She never met a stranger.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Robert and Mildred Beatrice; her brother, Robert; and sister, Ella Lee (Ron). She is survived by her sons, Greg (Valerie) and Craig; grandchildren, Mallorie and Luke (Ashlyn); great grandchildren, Elouise, Braylynn, and Beau.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2 PM to 4 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2021 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N Frazier St #115, Conroe, TX 77301. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 10, 2021 at Living Savior Lutheran Church, 309 Pond St, Montgomery, TX 77356. Carolyn will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 10, 2022, in Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
