Carolyn Ann Carrell

Carolyn Ann (Lewing) Carrell, age 72, passed away on November 1, 2020 at her home in Spring, Texas. She was born on August 29, 1948 in Jasper, Texas to Vernice Jewel and Albert Lewing, Sr. She was affectionately known as Tad, Tadpole, Meemaw and Meme to her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Jr, aka Bubba; sister, Flora May Lewing aka Poodle Lynn; daughter, Pamela Lewis; granddaughter, Brittany Akers. She is survived by her sons, Jason Armistead and wife Sara, and Billy Armistead; sisters, Barbara Bowers and Cassie Lewing; grandchildren, who called her Meemaw, Natasha Dahse, Amber Redd, Sierra Armistead, Brooke Armistead and Avery Armistead; great grandchildren, who called her Meme; Tatum Melonson, Haiden Scott and Maycie Redd.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N Frazier St #115, Conroe, TX 77301. While flowers are welcomed, the family also asks that any donations and contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children and any Mental Health Awareness organization in Carolyn’s memory.
