Carolyn Sue Morris Bradford

Carolyn Sue Morris Bradford went to be with her Lord and Savior and reunited with her husband Jackie Bradford on August 5, 2026.

Carolyn was born on January 21, 1944, to Hub and Jo Morris in Madisonville, Texas. She cherished her childhood, growing up alongside her sister and surrounded by the love of a close-knit family. Carolyn attended school in Madisonville, where she excelled in Home and Family Living classes. It was there that she developed the talents that would become the hallmarks of her life—cooking, baking, sewing, decorating, and creating a warm and welcoming home. She found great joy in using those gifts to serve and care for others.

She married the love of her life, Jackie Bradford, on September 27, 1958. Through that marriage, she joyfully embraced not only her husband but also his seven siblings, who quickly became the grateful recipients of her generous hospitality, and loving heart. Family was always at the center of Carolyn’s life, and she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel as though they belonged.

To know Carolyn was to experience genuine hospitality. She had a servant’s heart and a rare gift for making others feel welcome, valued, and loved. Whether through a home-cooked meal, a beautifully decorated cake, or simply sharing laughter around her kitchen table, she created treasured memories for family and friends alike. Her kindness, generosity, and infectious laugh were blessings to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Carolyn was the proud mother of Cindy Bradford, Darrell Bradford, and Cheryl Bradford. As a devoted stay-at-home mother, Carolyn poured her heart into raising her family. Her joy multiplied with each grandchild. She was the happiest “Grandmommy” to Amber Redd and husband James, Casey Underwood and husband John, Cody Bradford and husband Tyler Hughes, Derek Bradford, Chandler Kasper and wife Taylor. Her heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Dylan Bradford and Sadie Kasper.

Being Grandmommy was one of her favorite titles allowing Carolyn’s gifts of hospitality, unconditional love, and joyful generosity to flourish even more. She never met a stranger and never missed an opportunity to welcome someone into her home or her heart. Before long, she had become “Grandmommy” not only to her own family but to countless others, young and old alike. Everyone who crossed her path was welcomed into her ever-growing circle of love. Her home was always filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals, fresh-baked treats, and the comforting hum of her sewing machine, creating everything from Halloween costumes and sports coats to prom dresses and special occasion outfits. No matter the need, Carolyn found a way to make it happen with love, creativity, and remarkable talent.

As her children grew older, Carolyn entered the business world, where she began her career with Grocers Supply Company. She then moved on to enjoy a successful career with Hunt Taylor & Associates for 20 years. She brought the same excellence and enthusiasm to the workplace that she had always shown at home. Known for her impeccable organizational skills, stylish fashion sense, homemade baked goods, humorous personality and unwaveringly positive attitude, Carolyn became someone her coworkers admired and appreciated. She had a unique ability to brighten every room she entered and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know and work beside her.

Carolyn was also a faithful member of First Baptist Church Cypress, where she participated in numerous church activities, including the women’s Bible study group. There she formed lasting friendships and continued to live out her faith by encouraging and serving those around her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Hub and Jo Morris, husband, Jackie Bradford and her cherished sister, Lois Ann Everitt.

She leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her example of faith, love, and selfless service. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in every family gathering, every meal lovingly prepared, every act of kindness extended to another, and every life she touched with her generous heart.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by all who knew her. While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her legacy of love, laughter, devotion, faith, and extraordinary hospitality will continue to inspire generations to come. She leaves behind a family forever grateful for the gift of having been loved by her, and her memory will remain a guiding light in their lives until they meet again.
