Carol Ann Garrett, 74, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026.

Carol was born on July 1, 1952, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Murray and Betty Yeakley. She graduated from Waltrip High School in 1970 before continuing her education at Sam Houston State University, where she earned her degree in 1974.

Carol devoted more than four decades of her life to teaching, faithfully serving generations of students. She believed in the value of education and touched countless lives through her patience, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her profession.

A woman of strong faith, Carol was a devoted member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where she found fellowship and encouragement throughout the years. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life and guided the way she cared for her family, friends, and community.

Above all, Carol treasured her family. She is survived by her brother, Mark Yeakley; her children, Steven White and wife Kelli White, Suzy White, and Kyle Sheehan; and her beloved grandchildren, Mary White, Braden White, and Hudson White, who brought her great joy and pride.

Carol will be remembered for her caring heart, her lifelong commitment to education, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on in the many students she inspired and in the family she cherished.

A funeral service honoring Carol's life will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Friday, July 31, at 1:00 p.m.

The family invites all who knew and loved Carol to join them in celebrating a life well lived and a woman whose kindness, faith, and devotion will be remembered always.
