Capt. Randal Alan Eaves

September 28, 1966 — March 4, 2018

Capt. Randal Alan Eaves, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2018. He was born in Jacinto City, Texas. He met his wife in junior high and grew up with a love of cars, having rebuilt his first engine before he was even a teenager. He spent his life restoring classic street cars from the ground up and would willingly fix anyone’s car if they asked him. He also loved taking family and couples trips and was a Master Mason through Oakwood Lodge #1444.


Randal received his Peace Officer Certification though the University of Houston and throughout his career in Law Enforcement received too many other certifications to mention. He spent the last 28 years with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure, he worked in the jail, patrol, Narcotics Interdiction, auto theft as a detective then as a sergeant. He was assigned to the Fleet Operations Division and then led them as a Lieutenant. In January 2016 his was promoted to Captain over support services.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Muriel and Nancy Eaves; aunt and uncle, Karen and Kenneth Harris; sisters, Marian Eaves and Gina Harrison; and aunt, Betty Lindsey. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Eaves; children, Aaron and Caylin Eaves; parents-in-law, Larry and Frances Robeson; siblings, Kenneth Barnett and R. Andrew Eaves; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.


A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 12, 2018 at The Woodlands First Baptist Church, 11801 Grogans Mill Road, The Woodlands, Texas 77380. Graveside services and interment will follow at 4:30 pm in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Centerville, Texas.
