Buck Richard Kirk Sr.

November 1, 1942 — May 17, 2022

Buck Richard Kirk Sr., age 79, passed away on May 17, 2022. He was born on November 1, 1942 in Goose Creek, Texas to Alvie and Bertie Mae Kirk as an only child. His mother was a nurse and his father owned a construction business, for which he grew up helping his father along with farming. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force before returning to work in construction, where he rose quickly through the ranks to become a superintendent. He built many buildings in the area, skyscrapers in Houston and worked on the Galleria Mall. Buck was a faithful member of Lake Church in Montgomery, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his aunt, Doyle Bryer. He is survived by his children, Kathy Kirk, Buck Richard Kirk Jr. and Kenneth Richard Kirk; grandchildren, Andrew M. Lowden, Josup Kirk and Adam Kirk; great grandchildren, Lila Lowden, Aiden Lowden, Hugh Kirk and Athena Kirk; and his aunt, Lorraine York.

Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10 am on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Lake Church, 1701 McCaleb Road, Montgomery, Texas 77316, where an 11 am funeral will be held. Graveside services and interment will follow in Plantersville Cemetery. A reception will be held back at the church following the burial.
