Brinton "Brit" Ray Colbert

January 31, 1961 — August 25, 2022

Brinton (Brit) Ray Colbert, 61, of Spring , Texas passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2022.
He was the son of James Brinton Colbert (deceased) and his mother is Anna Pearl Buhler
Colbert. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Debbie Adams Colbert. He is also
survived by his brother Drake Colbert and wife Cher, sister Vickie Isaacks; daughters Meghan
Lackas and husband Chris, Brittany Otto and husband Cameron, step-daughters (whom he
loved as his own) Emily Masterman and Katie Lewis and husband Andrew; grandchildren Zoe,
Breckon, Hattie and Boyd. Many other family members and friends are also survived.
Brit was a wonderful husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. He loved his grandchildren
dearly and enjoyed when they spent the night by watching and interacting with them. He also
was fond of hunting, and in retirement he spent many days on the lake fishing. He was an avid
beekeeper with several hives, and enjoyed extracting the honey and sharing with friends and
family.
In his youth, he raced motorcycles and won many trophies. He loved any kind of auto racing
and spent many afternoons enjoying NASCAR on TV.
Brit was a good man who was respected and loved by many. He never met a stranger and he
always had a smile for everybody. He was a devoted husband who truly adored his wife, and
will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held on September 24 th , at Spring Baptist Church, 633 Louetta Road,
Spring 77373. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., Service at 11:00 a.m., with lunch following at the
church at noon.
