Bobby Ray Thaxton, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2022. He was born on December 6, 1960 in Robstown, Texas. Bobby was all boy, picked on his sister Teri and adored his dad. He spent his time learning to box and mowing all the neighbors’ yards to earn money. He received his GED and attended some college before he enlisted to serve in the US Marine Corp. After serving, he began working with cable TV and learned all there was about cable, fiber and building a network and plant. He eventually moved on to underground construction of the networks. He taught many people how to install cable “the right way” and most of the industry know the name Bobby Thaxton. There wasn’t anything he didn’t know in that field. Throughout his life, he enjoyed being with his family and grandkids, and in spare time he also coached the boys football. Bobby was an easy going guy and could start a conversation with just about anyone and that’s how he met his soul mate for life. He settled down with Rhonda and began his life with her in New Caney Tx and was blessed to have more family to love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Otis Thaxton and Martha Ann Thaxton. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Kay; sons, Matthew Thaxton and wife Tiffany Joshua Thaxton, daughter in law Desarae Solomon, Bobby had many grandchildren, Carlie Thaxton, Allyson Thaxton, Layne Thaxton, Joshua Beau Thaxton Jr, Cody Solomon and A.J. Veloz; sister, Teri Ann Zena; aunt, Mary Knight; best cousin Steven Ronnie Leal, Sean Allen, Steve Alf, Nikki and many others.
Bobby will surely be missed
