Bob L. Smith, age 80, died peacefully in his home in Magnolia on February 7, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in Colorado City, Texas on July 17, 1935 to John R. and Virginia Lorene Smith. A man of God, Bob was an incredibly selfless, loyal, loving, and giving man. Bob considered his greatest achievements his two children and seven granddaughters. He and his wife, Dottie, were happily married for 60 years and cherished their family together.
Professionally, Bob had a long and successful career as an entrepreneur. He founded Smith Monument Works and Eagle Vault Company. Bob also served honorably in the National Guard and was a deacon at his church and an Eagle Scout.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Virginia Lorene Smith. He is survived by his wife, Dottie, their children: Bobby Smith and his wife, Suzanne and Cynthia Andrews and her husband, Trent, as well as, his grandchildren: Samantha Myles and husband Chris, Laura Smith, Kelly Smith, Claire Andrews, Abigail Andrews, Caroline Andrews and Katelyn Andrews.
