Betty Nester, born April 23, 1937, a resident of Montgomery, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born with a vibrant spirit and a quick wit, Betty was known for her humor, class, and sarcasm that always kept those around her laughing. She had a giving heart and a caring nature that touched everyone she met.
Betty worked as a jeweler, a career that reflected her eye for beauty and detail. In her free time, she enjoyed watching TCM and westerns, finding joy both in keeping up with the latest gossip and in timeless stories of the old West.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delton Nester; parents Edward and Betty Knight; siblings, Edward Knight, Jr., James Knight, and Jennings Knight. She is survived by her son, Dale Nester and his wife Danielle; grandchildren Dustin Nester, Nikolas Himly, and Hailea Poff; her great-grandson, Easton Poff; and her siblings, Judy Brunsman and Jerry Knight. Betty is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss her presence.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 12412 FM 2854 Rd, Conroe, Texas. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the service at 12:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of Betty’s remarkable life and legacy.
Betty will be remembered for her humor, her warmth, and the love she shared so generously with her family and friends.
