Betty Jo Burdick

BETTY JO BURDICK, age 86, passed away on February 10, 2014. She was born on February 23, 1927 in Richmond, Texas and grew up in the Richmond-Rosenberg area. Her father passed away leaving her mother to raise her and her two brothers. Betty dedicated her life to her family and raising her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of Little York Baptist Church, WMU and TOPS. She was preceded in death by her son, William Orval Payne; daughters, Nina Jo Payne and Cheryl Ann Payne Connor; brothers, Homer Orval Griffith and Marvin Leroy Griffith; and great grandchild, Angelina Mordica. She is survived by her children, Peggy Payne, Cecilia Howard, Donald Payne, Jon Payne and Kenneth Payne; grandchildren, Brenda Mayo, Amanda Howard, Phillip Connor, Sarah Mordica, Christopher Payne, Daniel Payne and Joshua Payne; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Parkwood Baptist Church, 5210 Aldine Bender Rd., Houston, Texas 77032. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
