Bettie Oron Lobit

Bettie Oron Lobit was born on October 15, 1928 in Rochester, Texas to Oron and Onie Hediger.
She departed this life to be with her loved ones on January 15, 2022. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church of Houston. In her professional career she was a personal secretary.

Bettie lived in Texas all of her life and settled in Dickinson in her later years. She had many passions in life, but her true passion was caring for animals. She supported many organizations, some of which are Dickinson Optimist Club, League City Animal Care, Shriners Club, WWII Foundation, Native American Foundation, St. Jude, and many more.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, William Edward Lobit; and her sister, Sue White.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela S Sanders; granddaughter, Sydney Alexa Harwell, brother-in-law, Edmund White; and niece, Dr. Traci Lenae White. Bettie also leaves behind her employee of 28 years, Juan Jimenez; and many friends who will miss her greatly.

The graveside and burial will be at 11 AM on Friday, January 21, 2022 in Bethel Baptist Cemetery, 429 Happy Land RD, Nacogdoches, TX 75965. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to League City Animal Care, 755 W Walker Street, League City, Texas 77573.
