Belinda Kay Hart Rachell, a loving mother, and grandmother known for her kind heart and charismatic personality passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, after a well-lived and well-remembered life. Belinda Kay Hart was born on May 20, 1956, at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, to Gary P. Hart and Betty S. Raines. Growing up, Belinda was known as a “daddy’s girl” who always cherished the relationship she had with her doting father, Gary. Later in life, Belinda had that same kind of strong, loving relationship with her own children, Kristel Chesser and Michael Sigman Jr. Always a dynamic personality, Belinda had a wide range of hobbies and interests that included gardening, art, journaling, and making jewelry. She also was well-known for her love of coffee, Hershey’s chocolate, and Big Red soda, along with Mickey Mouse. Noted for her beautiful handwriting, Belinda was kind to everyone she crossed paths with and loved her family above all else. Known to her friends as “BK” and her grandkids as “Grammy,” she also had a special bond with all the pets she had over the years. Belinda was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Raines Young, and stepfather, Charles Young; stepmother, Oleta Hart; grandfather, Harris S. Hart, and grandmother, Erselle Porter Hart; daughter-in-law, Emily Crixell, and son-in-law, Tommy Chesser.
She is survived by her children, Kristel Chesser and Michael Sigman Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph Aguilar, Christopher Aguilar, Julian Crixell, Haden Chesser and Kaitlyn Chesser; and three great grandchildren. Siblings, Leon “Bubba” Stroud, Deitra Lynn Stroud, Katherine Hart, Elisa Mahone; stepsisters, Kathy Fisher and Patty Faulk; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Belinda’s life will be held on August 12, at 11 a.m. at Unity Baptist Church, 21772 East Memorial Drive Porter, TX 77365.
