Barbara Irene Miller Findley was born on August 24,1953 on Ft Belvior, Virginia to Col. Robert B. Miller and Pauline Virginia Ballantine Miller; and died August 14, 2023 in Conroe, Texas from a short battle with Glioblastoma brain tumor. Barb lived in Virginia twice; Bern, Switzerland; New Orleans; and moved to Corpus Christi in 7th grade.
She met Leonard Howard Findley while attending Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated in 1971. They were married on May 13, 1972 at South Shore Christian Church in Corpus Christi, where he was ordained in 1978.
They distributed the Dallas Morning News in Ft. Worth, while he was in Seminary. 1973-1976.
They served in the First Christian Church in Alice, Texas from 1978-1985. She also was the office manager for Alanco Drilling Company in Alice. They owned B&L Ceramics in Spring from 1985-1993. She worked her way up to Service Manager, then Assistant Manager of H-E-B in Spring and the Woodlands from 1983-2000. They ran Findley Follies Farm in Conroe from 2002-2021, when they both retired.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Nora Jane Miller. She is survived by her brothers, Robert B. Miller and Patrick Mark Miller; and of course her husband Lenny Findley.
She was loved by all who had the privilege of having met and known her.
