Anita Hill

Anita Theresa Hill of Plantersville, TX passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 102. Anita was born in High Hill, TX where she lived with her parents and siblings until she and her sister moved to Houston in 1942. While in Houston she met her future husband, Frank Hill. Frank served overseas in the Philippines during World War II, and during that time Anita and Frank stayed in touch throughout his three years of service. They reunited upon his return and married on January 28, 1946. They resided, worked, and raised their daughter in Houston until moving to Plantersville in 1976. Anita and Frank lived out their retirement years in Plantersville and were married for 61 years. Anita was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. She was an avid gardener, cook, and seamstress, but the most important things in her life were Church and family. Her most cherished memories and favorite stories were of times spent with her beloved family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hill; granddaughter Christianne Walker; parents Rudolph and Emilie Kahlich; brothers Leo and wife Martha Kahlich; Rev. Oswald Kahlich; sisters Julian Kahlich; Olivia and husband Emil Christ; Erna and husband Ernest Mitschke; nephews Florence Christ; Roy Christ; and niece Cynthia Mitschke. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Marie; granddaughter Therese and husband David Thomas; grandson Akira and wife Shannon Wing; great-grandchildren Michael and Christianne Thomas; nieces Debbie and husband Mark Reeder; Clarice and husband David Zmeskal; Nieces-In-Law Lorine Christ; and Pat Christ; nephews Allen and wife Doris Christ; Durwin and wife Lynne Mitschke; Rev. Daniel Kahlich; James Kahlich; Leroy Kahlich; Leo and wife Anne Kahlich.
