Tharp Walker, Lewis grew up in a military family moving to numerous Air Force bases along with three years in Japan and several visits to New Zealand during father’s assignment as Air Attache. Lewis loved the idea of “roots” and joined Sharon in Conroe after requesting release from his Army commission. With a BS in Sociology/Law Enforcement, Lewis brought his skills, experience and knowledge to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. He graduated from the FBI National Academy in 1983. Lewis gave over 18 years serving the citizens of Montgomery County. Continuing his life of service, Lewis volunteered his time and talents to his church, First Presbyterian Conroe. Also participating through memberships in the VFW, FBI National Academy Assoc., the Sheriff’s Assoc. of Texas, and the SHSU Alumni Assoc., Lewis maintained connections with former classmates, friends, coworkers, and associates.
