Juanita J. Perciful
January 9, 1929 - June 7, 2018
Our dear mom, Juanita J. Perciful, passed to her heavenly home on June 7, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born in Vashti, Texas on January 9, 1929 to Willie P. Boone and Hiram A. Jackson. She attended school in Bellevue, Texas and graduated from Bellevue High School before attending business school in Dallas. She worked many years as a secretary for insurance agencies and a construction company. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and witnessing the birth of her great granddaughter. She took great pride in being a founding member of River Pointe Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas. For those that knew our mom, she was passionate about her family, her friends, her church and her Houston Rockets, perhaps not in that order as she was crazy for her Rockets! We will miss her dearly, but know that she is now living free of pain and suffering and maybe standing a little bit taller than her 4’8” frame. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elmer W. Perciful. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Lou Thompson of Spring, and Leesa K. Buckalew and husband Donnie of Conroe; grandchildren, Austin and Jasminder Mihalik of Houston and Dayna and Justin Wieghat of Conroe; her great granddaughter, Teagan Rylee Wieghat; and also numerous furry family members. Our family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful, loving care team at Elmcroft Senior Living and to the HospicePlus team for meeting her special needs these last few weeks. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 11:00 AM at River Pointe Baptist Church located at 700 Gladstell Rd., Conroe, Texas 77304. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to Mom’s church: River Pointe Baptist Church.
