Joseph “Joe” Monroe Sager Jr., 74, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 27, in Conroe, TX. He was born on August 11, 1950, in Houston, TX to parents Joseph and R. Marie Sager. He graduated from Ross Sterling High School in 1970. Later in life, he received an Associate’s Degree in HVAC from Lone Star College. While growing up, he was an Eagle Scout and later took his son to scout meetings, where he volunteered.
In 1976 he married his wonderful wife of 48 years, Janice. He pursued various careers and hobbies together including leatherworking, woodworking and even wrestling. He was an avid political activist involved in various conservative political organizations. He was considered by many to be a patriot and donated many hours of his time to political organizations.
Joe taught himself how to do web design and pursued this as a career. Not only did he do web design for money he donated many hours to various nonprofit organizations that he believed in. Through his work in some of these organizations he was able to assist victims of violent crime protest the release of their offenders.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judy Short. He is survived by his wife, Janice Sager; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Catina Sager along with their son, Nathaniel Sager; daughter and son-in-law, Jodie and John Davis, along with their two daughters, Abigail Roberts and Isabelle Davis; sisters Ruby Klovensky and Barbara Lesikar; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
