    Fulton Lacey Fenner

    August 27, 1944 - July 18, 2015

Fulton Lacey Fenner, 70, passed away on July 18, 2015 following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Yuma, AZ on August 27, 1944 and grew up in Houston, TX, graduating from Sam Houston High School. Fulton pursued higher education at North Texas State University and East Texas Baptist University and felt a call to ministry early in life, especially with youth and worship. He served as minister of music and youth at several churches including First Baptist Church of Decatur and Pinemont Baptist in Houston. Although remaining very active serving in his church, and even serving as Chaplain at Conroe Regional Hospital, Fulton pursued careers in the automobile and home improvement industries. Through all of his achievements, his proudest accomplishment was his family. He truly loved Joan, his devoted wife of 41 years, and his three daughters and their families. Above all, Fulton’s passion was always to share the love of Jesus with everyone he met. Fulton is preceded in death by his parents, Fulton and Dorothy Fenner; sister, Judy Nelson; brother in law, Milford “Buzz” Wimberly; and niece, Judith Mishann Nelson. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; daughters, Elese Herridge and husband Paul, Lauren Riggs and husband Robert, and Ashley Mayorga and husband Manzino; grandchildren, Ava, Madeline, and Garrett Herridge, Avery, Brittain and Landry Riggs, and Scarlett and Stella Mayorga; sisters, Nancy Wimberly, Janice Hall and husband Wayne, Patricia Hammons and husband Jimmy, and Velvet Quartemont and husband Stuart; brother, Darrell Fenner and wife Jackie; and numerous relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Paul Herridge, Robert Riggs, Manzino Mayorga, Darrell Fenner, Ron Herridge, Jody Forman, Wayne Hall, Jimmy Hammons, Pete Mayorga, and Garrett Herridge.
