Edward C. Dolan

June 3, 1963 — March 10, 2025

Eddie Dolan, 62, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, leaving behind a profound legacy of music, love, friendship, and service to others. He lived a life full of vibrant energy, never meeting a stranger and always ready to lend a hand. Eddie was a DJ who spun the soundtrack to countless memories in so many lives. He was a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend, and mentor whose impact on the world is impossible to measure.

Born and raised in Houston, Eddie was a true Texan at heart, and his loyalty to the University of Texas Longhorns was unwavering. He was as passionate about his team as he was about life, always with a Longhorn shirt on and a game on his mind. When he wasn't cheering for his beloved Longhorns, Eddie could be found riding his motorcycle with a tight-knit group of friends. Whether it was hitting the open road on his bike or talking shop with fellow riders, Eddie was at home with his motorcycle club, sharing adventures and making lifelong memories.

A skateboarder as a kid, Eddie never lost his love for movement and the thrill of pushing forward. He carried that sense of adventure and determination throughout his life. But it was his heart that truly set him apart. Eddie’s 43 years of sobriety were a testament to his inner strength, and his commitment to helping others was evident in his role as a sponsor and mentor to countless addicts. His own journey inspired so many to believe in themselves and embrace the possibility of recovery, and his ability to guide others with compassion and understanding was a gift to all who knew him.

Eddie was preceded in death by his grandchild, Gauge Michael Barski. He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Dolan, his four daughters, Sarah Barski, Lauren Taylor, Katlin Dolan, Lucille Dolan and his two grandchildren, Orion and Amelia, who were the light of his life. Eddie’s deep love for his family was evident in everything he did. He also leaves behind his parents, Barbara and George Dolan and his siblings, David Dolan, Paula Swain, George Dolan II, Sally Godsey, Therese Anne Dolan, Mary D. Derzon, and a group of lifelong friends who were more like family. His motorcycle club, his fellow recovery advocates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him are left with a hole in their hearts but carry forward his spirit of joy, generosity, and resilience.

Eddie Dolan lived his life with a boundless heart, a powerful sense of adventure, and a deep commitment to helping others. His legacy will live on in every life he touched, every song he played, and every road he traveled.
