Louis Ray McGuire, 76, passed away on December 10th at Countryside Manor. He was a loving husband, father, papaw, uncle, brother and dear friend. He was born in Houston on March 7, 1947 to Ray and Laverne McGuire. Louis shared his life with wife Betty Jo (BJ) in a loving partnership for 40 years.
Louis graduated from Jesse H. Jones High School and was drafted into the Army at the age of 20. He was a Vietnam Vet who served honorably. Louis then worked as a long haul truck driver for many years.
Louis loved the outdoors and cooking bar-b-que. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite time was spent with family at the deer lease. Louis had great knowledge about guns and enjoyed reloading his own ammunition. He was also an excellent marksman and took great pride in sharing his passion with others.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, BJ; Children: Norman and wife Michelle, Jennifer and husband Doc, Josie and husband Shane, Andy and wife Leslie, Mike and wife Wendy, and Dean. Grandchildren: Dawson and fiancé Layla, Devin, Dr. Monet Anthony, Nicholas, Cole, Brooke and husband Jared, Shay and husband Brendan, Olivia, Samantha, Browdy, Erin, Kaitlin, and Greyson. Great Grandchildren: Charlotte and Eli. Siblings: Danny and wife Becky, Paul, Mike and wife Joanna. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 1712 N Frazier St #115, Conroe, TX 77301. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Mims Baptist Church, 1609 Porter Rd, Conroe, TX 77301. Graveside and burial, with military honors rendered, will follow at 2:15 PM in Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038. There will be a police escort from the church to the cemetery and we will line up in Lane 2 at 2:00 PM.
